How We Build A Kitaab

Our meticulous three-step operational pipeline.

Collect

We meticulously collect notebooks across Abu Dhabi that would otherwise end up in landfills.

Dismantle

Our team immediately gets to work, completely dismantling the collected materials.

Hand-Bind

A specialized subteam hand-binds and staples the salvaged paper into brand new 'Kitaabs'.

OUR MISSION & VISION

Kitaab exists to change the paradigm of access—turning static libraries into thriving ecosystems of shared human knowledge.

Our Mission

Kitaab Organization is a student-led, community-driven project dedicated to reducing paper waste in Abu Dhabi by collecting notebooks and other materials to make handmade 'Kitaabs' for donation to students in need in India.

Our Vision

We aim to expand to other emirates for waste collection and other countries for Kitaab donations, working hard to repurpose paper waste and encourage environmental stewardship in youth.

Aarav Trivedi, a 14-year-old award-winning author, writes not under pressure but when his heart calls, drawing inspiration from nature, emotions, and his neurodiverse perspective. His latest series, written through the lens of a neurodivergent child, explores empathy, environmental care, and inner strength. Honored with accolades such as the RobinAge Bright Sparks Award, Literoma Junior Star Award, Visionary Author 2025, and the International Excellence Author Award 2025, Aarav’s works have been featured in several leading platforms, Zoomerang, Beyond The Box, Spectrum The Awareness Project, Enlit Kids and Talking Fingers. Beyond writing, he supports the Kitaab Organisation, redistributing books to underprivileged children, and finds joy in painting, baking, piano, and music. His journey reminds us that neurodiversity is not a limitation but a different brilliance, proving that stories don’t need to shout to be heard — sometimes they only need to whisper, and the world listens.
